SHILLONG:
The second phase of border talks between Meghalaya and Assam got under way at Assam State Guest House in Khanapara, Guwahati on May 24.
The Meghalaya delegation is led by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and comprises deputy chief ministers Prestone Tynsong and Sniawbhalang Dhar, cabinet minister Comingone Ymbon, besides government officials.
The Assam delegation is led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and comprises ministers Atul Bora, Piyush Hazarika and Chandra Mohan Patowary besides government officials.
The meeting is being held to discuss issues pertaining to the six remaining areas of difference along the interstate border.
