Abhishek Banerjee calls NPP a ‘National Puppet’s Party’

Terming the NPP-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) as My Development Alliance, Banerjee went on to say that the comments made by CM Conrad Sangma only goes to show that he is perplexed, bewildered and scared.

SHILLONG:

All India Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, on January 24, said that the national president of National People’s Party (NPP) Conrad Sangma to concentrate on his campaign and dubbed NPP as national puppet party.

Sangma in his campaign in the town of Chenangre (Adokgre) under Kharkutta in North Garo Hills, claimed that many TMC leaders are already planning to desert the party once elections are over as per word in the market.

Responding to a query on Sangma’s comment, Banerjee told reporters, “I thank him for believing in market rumors like he allegedly claimed. It is very unbecoming of a chief minister to believe and listen to what the market agents and the market rumors are.

He went on to say, “And you hardly found time in the last five years to stand by the people of your state. So if you’re only talking bad about the people of the state, you’re ending up belittling the people of Meghalaya, you’re ending up denigrating the people of this very state, you’re ending up trash talking about your own colleagues, that is extremely unbecoming of a Chief Minister.”

Terming the NPP-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) as My Development Alliance, Banerjee went on to say that the comments made by Sangma only goes to show that he is perplexed, bewildered and scared.

To a query that TMC has been labeled as an outsider party, he remarked that Mukul Sangma and Charles Pyngrope are not outsiders and maintained that Meghalaya will be ruled by Meghalayans.
