SHILLONG:
Deputy Chief Minister incharge of Home (Police) Prestone Tynsong, on April 12, said that all the vacancies in the police department will be filled up within this year itself.
Speaking to reporters in Shillong today, Tynsong informed that 1000 plus personal interviews is being conducted. “After this process is completed, we are going to advertise for another 1500 posts required in the police department alone.”
“I am sure we can fill up the vacancies within this year and the shortage of manpower in the department is addressed,” he added.
