Nongpoh:
Pijush Hazarika, Assam Minister of Water Resources etc, along with Tuliram Rynghang, Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous District Council, visited Purdwa village of the Nongpoh constituency to campaign for BJP candidate for the seat Marian Maring.
Hazarika and Rynghang urged the people to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to improve the conditions of the constituency, and unfavourably compared Meghalaya to Assam, the development of which they credited to BJP’s governance.
They also noted that citizens in Assam receive free rice provisioned by the Food Corporation of India, whereas those in Meghalaya do not.
