Oil India Limited, Pipeline Headquarters, Guwahati will host the annual Golden Jubilee Annual Pipeline Employees’ Sports Meet 2021-22 from February 25 to 27 with elaborate sporting events covering both indoor and outdoor sports events.

This year, the meet will be inaugurated on February 25 by Padma Shri Bhaichung Bhutia, the Indian football legend and Sandip Kumar Goswami, executive director (Pipelines), a statement released by the OIL said, on February 23.

Sportspersons from all pump stations from Duliajan to Barauni will participate in the meet and will be vying for honours in various track and field events, badminton, table tennis and quiz, among other events.

The three-day meet will provide an opportunity to all the employees and their families to get together and develop camaraderie and goodwill.

Oil India Limited, with its rich legacy, has its pipeline headquarters situated amidst the scenic pipeline township in Narengi, Guwahati.

In continuation sports promotion, the meet is organised regularly in different OIL pump stations. The 1st Pipeline Employees’ Sports Meet was organised in 1967.
