The body is propelled by four wheels, the soul by two. This adage is common among fans of motorcycles. Nothing compares to visiting a place with your riding companion on two wheels. Indian roads are among the best in the world, making them ideal for bikers. While some of these routes are well-known for their picturesque settings and breathtaking views, others are simply well-liked for their level of difficulty and adventure. In either case, if you enjoy biking, you will enjoy travelling along these roads.
LADAKH, JAMMU AND KASHMIR
The ideal biking destination in India may be Ladakh. This area of the state of Jammu & Kashmir is a task that any crazy-adventurous bike rider would like to take because it is blessed with such breathtaking beauty.
The riders are kept on their toes by the challenging terrain, the erratic and unreliable weather, and the ongoing danger of landslides and other perils. Beautiful lakes, steep mountain passes, Buddhist monasteries, and winding, primarily unpaved roads can all be found in Ladakh.
Therefore while planning a ride here, one is spoilt for choices but what you must know that you can never make a bad choice as each trail has its perks and thrills.
SPITI VALLEY, HIMACHAL PRADESH
Spiti Valley offers another difficult and comparable biking course in India. Spiti, which is a part of Himachal Pradesh, resembles Ladakh a lot. As a result, Spiti Valley is a suitable alternative if you were unable to arrange a bike trip to Ladakh because it offers a similar level of adrenaline thrill.
In fact, the Hindustan-Tibet highway that goes to the Spiti valley makes sure that a rider’s sense of excitement is consistent throughout. On this ride, you can get close to some of the highest settlements in Asia.
The remote areas of Kibber, Kaza, Tabo, Spiti, and Pin Valley are among the most visually appealing, while the Baspa and Kinnaur regions are excellent vacation spots for those who love the outdoors and want to take in the splendour of apricot and apple orchards, Satluj river views, and snow-capped monasteries.
This route needs to be taken into account if you intend to bike in the North East. Starting off from Guwahati, the road shall lead you to the scenic capital of Meghalaya- Shillong and get to view the mesmeric terrains of East Khasi Hills.
One can continue on the route a little further and discover a way to go to some amazing locations, including the cleanest hamlet in India (Mawlynnong), living root bridges, and a few other stunning waterfalls. Of course, paved roads greatly contribute to the excellence of this Indian biking route.
