SHILLONG:
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Tripura Jadab Lal Nath was allegedly caught watching porn in the assembly on March 24, and the video has gone viral, drawing huge criticism from many sections.
While the authenticity of the video could not be verified independently, the action has drawn flak from opposition parties in Tripura, including the TIPRA Motha who termed the action as unfortunate and unbecoming on the part of a people’s representative.
Tripura leader of Opposition Animesh Debbarma said that such acts are unethical, and will send the wrong message to the young generation.
According to media reports, Tripura BJP would soon issue a notice to the MLA asking him to make his stand clear on the issue.
It may be mentioned that earlier in 2012, three MLAs in Karnataka had to resign from Assembly after being caught watching porn in the assembly.
