“Acting on a tip-off, a special joint operation was carried out by the troops of 169 Bn BSF and West Bengal excise for the destruction of the cultivation of poppy in Gadalerkuthi under Mathbhanga police station in Cooch Behar district,” a BSF spokesperson said here.
