BSF holds civic action programme for border population in Garo Hills 

TURA:

Troops of the 55 Battalion of the BSF stationed in the South Garo Hills border belt on January 25 organised a civic action programme at Dipulipara, and distributed sports, stationary items, including electrical appliances worth over Rs. 5,96,398 to the public.

South Garo Hills deputy commissioner, F M Dopth, and commandant of 55 and 100 Battalion BSF, K N Tripathi and A K Tiwari handed over the items to the villagers of Silbari, Dabram, Dipulipara, Shibbari, Namchapara, Kapasipara, Netri, Damdama, Jankhol and Gasuapara under South Garo Hills district.

Students of different bordering area schools, including teachers and elders also took part in the cultural show during this programme.
