Thirty Seven passenger received injuries as one Night Super Bus Over turn at Shangbangla Ribhoi District
More than 37 passengers of a night super bus were injured when the vehicle overturned on NH6 at Shangbangla, Ri Bhoi. The accident took place on March 10 at around 10.00 p.m.
The night super bus (AR 20-9099) was on its way from Guwahati to Silchar. The driver reportedly lost control of the wheel at a curved road, made dangerous by heavy rainstorms in the district.
About 35 passengers were taken to Nongpoh Civil Hospital, while an unconfirmed number were shifted to hospitals in Guwahati.
Eyewitnesses to the accident told reporters that this particular stretch of the NH6 often witnesses accidents caused by reckless driving, and demanded the National Highway Authority to construct speed breakers to prevent further damage to life and property.
