Cong to drill NPP govt on slew of issues

In a meeting of Congress units held at Tura Congress Bhawan on Monday, former Dadenggre legislator Augustine D Marak, who is the vice president of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee, announced that the party is preparing a “thorough” manifesto on various issues that are affecting the people of the state which has not been dealt by the current state government headed by the NPP.

Opposition Congress in Meghalaya has dared the ruling NPP to come clean on several issues plaguing the state warning that the party is preparing a manifesto to highlight to the people the shortcomings of the Conrad Sangma government.

In a meeting of Congress units held at Tura Congress Bhawan on Monday, former Dadenggre legislator Augustine D Marak, who is the vice president of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee, announced that the party is preparing a “thorough” manifesto on various issues that are affecting the people of the state which has not been dealt by the current state government headed by the NPP.

“This government ( NPP) has failed on several fronts impacting the lives of the people of the state. We will be flagging all the failures of this government in a comprehensive manifesto that is being prepared. We will start from the mining policy, the widespread corruption all the way down to the plight of farmers who are facing immense hardships caused by rising fuel prices and cost of living,” informed Augustine Marak to members of the congress party who came to participate in the protest against rising fuel prices.
