Drone Services

Nowadays people are very busy and have to spend a lot of time in travelling to get what they desire since traffic jam is becoming more acute with each passing day. When they reach their destination they have to stand in queue which is sometimes very long for even few basic requirements. Science and technology is becoming more and more useful and beneficial which facilitates different types of services thus saving time and energy. Latest inventions are drones which ease business activities due to quick transportation and timely deliveries right at the doorstep. In earlier years, science and technology was the monopoly of only the rich and well-to-do and hence it was considered to be anti-poor. But because of innovations and consistent efforts by scientists and researchers, even common and ordinary citizens can easily afford to reap much benefits. Our hostile neighbour has been using drones to send across bombs and weapons besides drugs. Hence for defence purposes, drones were restricted as they might cause panic and fear among public. However, India became more cautious with preventive measures and consequently removed such restrictions because of the tremendous benefits of drone technology.

Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022 was organised on May 27-28 and inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to create awareness and publicise on manifold advantages of drone technology in agriculture, sports, defence and disaster management. Other central ministers were also present on the inaugural day and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia expressed great joy that India can now progress better and faster due to drone technology which facilitates land mapping in villages. Drones are very useful in public functions which are heavily crowded and in controlling traffic jam. For development and progress of rural areas, drones will also be helpful. In remote corners of rural areas where there are no roads at all, drones can be utilised for various purposes so that villagers will not suffer due to any eventualities. Potentiality not only for drone development but also for other innovatives are expressed and motivated by Prime Minister who urged youths to take up challenges and to show to the world that India is able to lead from the front unlike in previous decades. Drones will surely be of much benefit to police forces and ease them in their 24×7 duties and responsibilities.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) after careful study and observation has come up with guidance document for use of drones in healthcare for medical supplies to far-flung areas. Scientists from ICMR collaborated with Union Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Airport Authority of India for preparation of document in compliance with the New Drone Rules-2021 regarding selection of drones and routes to be chosen. Medicines to be transported will be properly stored at prescribed temperature and safely delivered.
