NONGSTOIN:

Former MLA of Nongstoin Constituency Macmillan Byrsat, on Saturday, inaugurated the new multi-purpose hall of St. Joseph’s Minor Seminary, at Pyndengrei, Nongstoin, on May 27.

The building was constructed under the Chief Minister’s Special Development Fund (CMSDF), at an estimated cost of Rs 12 lakhs.

Addressing the gathering, Macmillan Byrsat said that in his term as an MLA, he has been able to contribute around 2.50 crores to all the Christian institutions in the district, further adding that the St. Joseph’s Minor Seminary is a special institution that teaches the seminarian in all-round formation.

The inaugural function was also attended by Fr. Alphonsus Wahlang Rector of St. Joseph’s Minor Seminary; Fr. Marius Thongni Parish Priest of Pyndengrei Parish; past pupils of St. Paul’s Seminary Shillong, among others.
