Family performs last rites of Walinda Binong

The final rites of Walinda Binong was conducted at Marngar crematorium on May 1, with family and friends bidding her a teary-eyed farewell.

Walinda was found dead on April 27 at her hostel in School of Design under the Mody University where she was studying fashion designing.

The post-mortem report of 18-year-old Walinda, who was reported to have died of suicide at her hostel in Sikar, Rajasthan, has said that she died of asphyxia due to hanging, but her family and friends are not completely convinced.

Unsatisfied with the post mortem report, the family completed the final rites with grief and has refused to accept Walinda’s suicide theory.
