Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) worth Rs 8,000 have been detected since 19, 2019 till February 15, 2022 in SBI (State Bank of India) Nongpoh Branch.
According to Chief Manager, SBI Nongpoh Branch fake currency notes in Rs. 2000 and Rs. 500 denominations amounting to Rs 8,000, have been detected.
These notes were deposited by the tenderer /customer of the Branch, police said.
Theft
Meanwhile, one person arrested for stealing a LPG cylinder on Wednesday morning.
According to police, at about 11 am, police apprehended one Albinus Dkhar (25) from Polo area, Shillong, while he was moving suspiciously with one LPG cylinder.
Later, the person confessed that he had stolen the LPG cylinder from Mawlai Nongpdeng.
