SHILLONG:
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Ernest Mawrie, Minister Sanbor Shullai and State Executive Member and Incharge West Jaintia Hills, Gagan Jain, welcomed former MeECL engineer Alan K Suchiang and his supporters who joined the BJP on December 29.
Speaking on the occasion, Mawrie while welcoming the new members to BJP which is the largest political party in the world, urged karyakartas to make the enrollment drive of the BJP a grand success.
He expressed his happiness that more and more professionals are joining BJP, which will ensure the proper implementation and success of the schemes and programmes of the party.
Suchiang in his speech said that he was always a supporter of the BJP and eager to work for the party, since BJP is a party which focuses on service and development.
