Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh

SHILLONG:

Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, on July 31, informed that the state government is merging the Prime Minister’s Health Scheme with the MHIS scheme in order to ensure higher insurance coverage for citizens.

Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of nursing job fare programme in Shillong, Lyngdoh said that the MHIS was only catering to the citizens of the state from the state’s fund.

“By merging it with the Prime Minister’s Scheme, we will ensure greater benefits to the people,” she said.

She said that Aadhar linkage with MHIS will be a necessary criterion to avail the benefits.
