Guwahati, Mar 30: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal face off and busy in mudslinging ahead of Parliamentary elections.

Himanta Biswa Sarma who is known for his controversial remark has yet again target AIUDF supremo Badruddin Ajmal, who is contesting from Dhubri Lok Sabha seat.

Speaking to reporters, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “He(Badruddin Ajmal) should marry now, after election Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will come to Assam. If he marry’s after that he will be arrested. If he takes a bride and get married before election than it’s fine. If he invites us now, we will also go because it’s not illegal till now. So far as my knowledge he has one wife, he can marry two or three more but right after election we will stop polygamy. The entire draft is ready, if they invite now we will go but after election it’s illegal. I am not stopping it, the law is and if someone indulges with law, the law will take steps,”.

On the other hand, AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal said, “Congress people and Rakibul Hussain said that I have become old. But I still have so much strength that I can still get married . If Chief minister doesn’t want, I can still get married, I still have so much strength in me,”.

The political parties have started ‘war of words’ ahead of Lok Sabha polls and every political leaders are busy in mudslinging politics.
