Akashvani Shillong celebrated Hindi Diwas 2023 on September 14, marking the commencement of the Hindi Fortnight 2023. The event took place at the premises of Akashvani Shillong and witnessed active participation from officers and officials of Akashvani Shillong, NES, and other associate offices under the cluster.
The fortnight-long celebration featured a variety of competitions organised for the participants. The event was inaugurated by the head of office of Akashvani Shillong, H Diengdoh. In his address, Diengdoh expressed gratitude to the staff for their active participation in the activities and competitions organised during the fortnight. He emphasised that one should love their own mother tongue first to respect other languages. Diengdoh also urged everyone to maintain this spirit throughout the year to meet the set targets.
Head of programme RML Marbaniang and news editor, Paritosh Dikshit also shared their views and stressed on the implementation of Hindi in day-to-day official work.
