Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati, an organization under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, received the “Award of Excellence” for its exemplary work in the area of skill and entrepreneurship development in the Northeast.
Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi presented the award at the Diamond Jubilee Celebration function of All India Manufacturers’ Organization (Assam & NER) and Assam Productivity Council held at Tinsukia on February 4.
IIE director Dr Lalit Sharma received the award on behalf of IIE.
While receiving the award Dr Lalit Sharma said: “IIE is committed to strengthening the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem. The institution will make sure that enterprise creation, skill development and start-up development in the region happens at a fast pace and the enterprises of northeast contribute significantly to employment generation and economic development of the region.”
First Lady of Assam Prem Mukhi, chairman of All India Manufacturers’ Organization, MP Agarwal, chairman of Assam Productivity Council BP Bakshi, Tinsukia deputy commissioner Narsing Pawar, superintendent of police Gurav Abhijit Dilip along with a host of other dignitaries were also present in the function.
