President of the association, Wandonbok Jyrwa said that they rushed to Sadar police station to inquire about the matter, where they were told that investigation is ongoing.

Jyrwa also said that if police delay in arresting the culprits, they will be forced to resort to other ways to ensure justice for their fellow taxi driver.

To a question on whether the association will temporarily stop their operations, he said, “It depends on the taxi drivers, individually. We are not forcing anyone to stop plying but we leave it to their own judgement.”
