Nongpoh:
The Khasi Students Union (KSU) through the KSU North Khasi Hills District Unit, on June 25, felicitated the medalists and participants of the National Muay Thai Championship 2022, in Nongpoh.
A total of 30 individuals participated under various weight categories that was held at Shrimant Tukoji Rao Pawar Indoor Stadium, Madhya Pradesh by Sports Muaythai Association from June 16 to 22.
Vice-president KSU, NKHD Unit, Lambok Joseph Rymbai, Khasi Students Union among others were present at the do.
The Union and staff members felicitated the medalists and participants with flower bouquets and mementoes.
In the women’s category, Betshwdaphi Warkhyllew, Alponsa Wriang, Mary Christine Wriang, Naphilaiwanbet Nongspung, Aibyntalin Kharumnuid and Daniewkor Mynsong bagged gold. While 8 participants bagged Gold in the men’s category. On the other hand, 6 women bagged silver and bronze whereas 10 bagged bronze in the men’s category.
