Localities seek use of Golf Links playground

SHILLONG:

A meeting of four localities falling under Pynthorumkhrah constituency has decided to approach the Shillong Club Limited to allow the residents to hold programmes in the Golf Links playground.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, local MLA AL Hek said that the four localities of Golf Links, Lumshyiap, Pynthorbah and a part of Mawroh held a meeting on Saturday to discuss the playground which is currently supervised by the Shillong Club Authority.

“After the Shillong Club Authority constructed a gate and locked the ground, we will approach it in order to allow any programme, games organised by the four localities at the playground for the benefit of the youth, schools, children and the churches of these localities,” he said.

Hek informed that the playground was dedicated in 2005 to the four localities.
