Prestone Tynsong

SHILLONG, FEB 22: Mawryngkneng town in East Khasi Hills will soon get its very own Fire and Emergency Services Station, informed Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Home (Police) Prestone Tynsong in the Assembly on Thursday.

Replying to a query during question hour, Tynsong said the process of creating all necessary infrastructure will begin as soon as the land is handed over to the police department.

He said that the land acquisition is in the final stage and that there has been no agreement made with the land owners.

Tynsong also assured to examine the suggestion made by the TMC legislator from Nongthymmai Charles Pyngrope on the need to place fire tenders in several locations for quick response to any fire incident.
