Guwahati, Feb 21: Assam police have launched a hunt for four men who allegedly abducted a 15 year old girl and gangraped her in a moving car in Cachar district.
This horrific crime that happened on February 15th came to be known only a few days back after the family approached police.
βOne of the four accused, a 30-year-old married man, was known to the girl,” said a police official.
“The man recently bought the vehicle and called the girl to meet him on February 15 evening. After she reached, they dragged her inside the vehicle and raped her,” police said.
According to police they have identified all four culprits and a search team is on the job to trace them out,
A case against the four accused was registered at Kachudaram police station.
“We have registerd a case under section 376D, Gang Rape, 363 (Kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual offences Act (POCSO),” said a police official.
