SHILLONG:
Delegation of the Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA) led by working president John F Kharshiing and vice-president Matsiewdor War Nongbri, met the president of Indian Olympic Association (IOA) PT Usha.
At the meeting, the delegation of the MSOA informed Usha of the state’s preparedness for the National Games to be held in Meghalaya.
According to Kharshiing, at the meeting he told the IOA chief that the state, after facing difficulty due to Covid-19 is now preparing to host the games.
The MSOA working president informed that the state in preparation for the National Games has hosted the 3rd State Games in February 2020, the 4th State Games in May 2022 and also the 2nd North East Games in November 2022.
Kharshiing also informed the IOA president that the state may get the chance to host the National Games sometime in 2025.
