The National Highway NH-06 in East Jaintia Hills was disrupted for hours due to a mudslide at Sunapur tunnel after heavy downpour on June 14.
Authorities are on the job to clear the mud which had come sliding down a nearby hill, next to the tunnel due to the heavy rain, since 5 am.
Till the filing of this report, the mud is yet to be clear and traffic has been halted.
It may be reminded that on May 27 morning, a similar incident occurred at the same place, disrupting vehicular movement for hours.
The road is crucial as it links Barak valley, Mizoram and Tripura with Meghalaya and Assam.
