SHILLONG:
A business awareness campaign was organised by the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFi) Shillong branch for entrepreneurs of the Smit region at indoor stadium, Smit, on September 23.
The objective of the program was to create awareness on the different schemes provided by the NEDFi and to educate and inform entrepreneurs about the mentoring service provided by the corporation through its business facilitation centre.
The meet was attended by 50 entrepreneurs from the region.
Branch manager of NEDFi Shillong, Pynkynmawlang Rymmai educated the entrepreneurs about the various project profiles prepared by the corporation as per the potential of each state in the North East to help budding entrepreneurs in their business ideation.
Business development representative, Bhanudlang Kharkongor, briefed on the various schemes of the corporation to promoter entrepreneurship.
The entrepreneurs were also briefed about the North East Venture Fund, the first dedicated venture fund for the region, and the prospects of availing the venture capital fund by start-ups from Meghalaya.
The participants were also informed MOVCDNER, National Bamboo Mission and other schemes of the Central Government for the benefit to promote rural entrepreneurship.
