NONGPOH:
The District Tuberculosis office, Ri Bhoi, in collaboration with Nezone Pipes & Structure NTL took a noble initiative to distribute nutritional food to Tuberculosis (TB) patients at Civil Hospital, Nongpoh, as part of the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (PMTBMBA).
The initiative under PMTBMBA aims to provide nutritional support during the patient’s treatment and ensure they have the means to take their medicine. Approximately 10 adopters participated in this effort.
The programme was attended by Dr. E. Kalwing, District Tuberculosis Officer Ri Bhoi , Dr. T. S Momin, DM& HO Nongpoh, Dr. N. M Sangma, Medical Superintendent Civil Hospital Nongpoh, Sister Dene Rose Syiem, Assistant Nursing Superintendent Civil Hospital Nongpoh, Yash Agarwal, Director Nezone Pipes & Structure NTL Steel, and other health department staff along with members of Nezone Pipes & Structure NTL.
Notably, the PMTBMBA is a campaign launched on September 9, 2022, aiming to engage individuals, political parties, NGOs, and corporations in supporting TB patients with nutritional food for six months to three years, contributing to a society free from TB disease.
