NPP candidate from Khliehriat Nehlang Lyngdoh files nomination

The former MLA returned to politics after an absence of 10 years. He will be going up against sitting MLA and UDP candidate Kyrmen Shylla.

NPP candidate from Khliehriat constituency Nehlang Lyngdoh filed his nomination papers at Khliehriat in East Jaintia Hills on February 2.
The former MLA returned to politics after an absence of 10 years. He will be going up against sitting MLA and UDP candidate Kyrmen Shylla.
Lyngdoh who represented the Khliehriat LA Constituency twice for the Indian National Congress (INC) joined the NPP in March 2022.
After winning two times, Lyngdoh quit politics but decided to fight the poll battle again this time around. He was elected from the then Rymbai Constituency (now Khliehriat) in 2003 and 2008. Despite being a sitting MLA, he did not contest in 2013.
