People’s Democratic Front (PDF) said it was yet to decide with whom it would ally to form the new government in the state.
PDF working president Banteidor Lyngdoh, who was re-elected for the second time from Mawkynrew constituency, told reporters that the party will wait and take a call on the matter very soon.
PDF won only two seats, registering a loss of two other seats it had held since the 2018 elections.
Lyngdoh claimed that his party has done well despite the fact that legislators Hamletson Dohling and Jason S Mawlong have left the party and joined other political parties.
“We still managed to retain these two seats, including Sohra, which is represented by Gavin Miguel Mylliem,” he said.
The PDF had fielded eight candidates.
