SHILLONG:
The second day of the plate group Ranji Trophy match saw Bihar ending their first innings at 264 against Meghalaya, while the hosts were bowled out for 167 at the MCA ground, Polo, Shillong, on December 28.
Bihar were leading by 170 runs as the day closed at stums with 73/3 as Meghalaya bowlers picked up some important wicket to keep the visitors from scoring big in the second innings.
For Meghalaya RR Biswa and Dippu were the biggest contributors in Meghalaya batting line up scoring 56 and 57 respectively, while others showed a dismal performance to the good bowling from Bihar.
For Bihar Ashutosh Aman, Sachin Kumar Singh picked up 3 each, while Abhijeet picked up another 2 to prevent Meghalaya batters from doing much damage in putting up a big score.
The second innings saw Meghalaya bowlers bouncing back to keep Bihar within a decent total, with R B Bishnoi Jr picking up Sachin Kumar Singh for 12 and Babul Kumar for 31, while Akash Kumar picked up Kumar Mridul for 1.
