Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, on May 18, said that Reservation Policy is a different subject altogether, which may be discussed later on, and as of now the subject in front of the government is the Roster System and the implementation of the same.
“Hence, we are taking that first, and trying to resolve the issue because Roster is something mandated by the High Court. The broader reservation policy discussion is something that is not going to be discussed as of now, and the three days have been specifically kept for discussion on the Roster system,“ the chief minister told media persons.
Stating that the decision to implement roster system is unanimous, the chief minister said that all the MLAs in the MDA have understood the points, and appreciated the points presented. He also said that the MLAs will discuss further on those aspects and come back if there are any doubts.
