NONGPOH:
The convocation for the first batch of the Ri Bhoi Synod College was held on May 4, with member of parliament Vincent Pala gracing the occasion as the chief guest.
Congratulating the students of the college who received their degrees, Pala wished them all success for their future, and said that the students who have passed out will bring glory to the college.
“As student of the college run by the Church, you should be disciplined and maintain the reputation of the college wherever you go,” Pala said.
Established in 2017, the college was set up to fulfil the educational needs of students coming from financially backward families.
“The College was established to serve both Christian and non-Christian youths, especially those coming from poor background, who cannot afford to go outside the district for studies,” said president of the college’s governing body Rev. HL Marsing.
