SHILLONG:
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District has informed that rice under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) for National Food Security Act (NFSA) households (AAY and PHH) for the month of September 2022 and wholemeal atta for the month of September 2022 are being released through the respective Fair Price Shops.
Rice will be issued free of cost at the scale of five kgs per head, while wholemeal atta will be issued at a scale of five kgs per card in urban area and three kgs per card in rural area at the rate of Rs 10.50 per kg.
All Fair Price Shops have been directed to distribute the quota as soon as the stock arrives and to display the list of beneficiaries and the timing of operation in their respective shops. The Deputy Commissioner (Supply) also requested all the NFSA beneficiaries to submit their Aadhaar number to the Fair Price Shop dealer for the smooth functioning of e-POS device.
Any non supply, supply of less prescribed scale or inferior quality may be reported to the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Kasi Hills District, Shillong.
