NONGPOH:
A road mishap between an SUV and a truck left 4 people injured at NH-6, Dulongnar in Ri Bhoi district on January 25.
According to information, the SUV bearing registration no ML05 AB 9933 was proceeding towards Shillong, while the truck with registration number NL01 N6449 was on its way to Guwahati when the accident happened.
Notably, due to road renovation by NHAI all vehicles plying from Shillong to Guwahati have been diverted from Umdihar Median opening till Dulongnar Median opening and on that stretch of NH-6 vehicles plying from Shillong to Guwahati and vice versa were made to move in the same lane.
The truck driver who was supposed to ply the vehicle from the left side of the said lane, drove his vehicle from the right side of the lane in a rash and negligent manner thereby colliding with the SUV which was coming from the opposite lane.
