Sakat FC drub St John’s School

The 1st edition of the North East Pride Cup kicked off in Shillong today.

SHILLONG:

Sakat FC defeated St John’s School 5-1 in the 1st edition of the North East Pride Cup, played in city on Saturday. It was the opening match of the tournament which is being organized all across Northeast, India in association with Assam Don Bosco University.

The tournament was inaugurated on Saturday by Lajja Ram Bishnoi, DGP Meghalaya, and Brig Surender Sharma, HQ DGAR at the Assam Rifles ground on Saturday. The tournament is being conducted across 22 locations in Northeast including four locations in Meghalaya , which are Shillong, Mairang, Tura, and Jowai.

The next leg of the tournament will be played in Mairang on September 29 and 30.
