An association of taxi drivers, operating at Khyndailad, has served the police one day’s time to arrest the culprits involved in the assault of a taxi driver at Khyndailad on May 18 evening.
The young taxi driver, identified as Bashai Syiem hailing from Mawpdang, was bashed up black and blue by a few individuals, also suspected to be fellow taxi drivers.
The association warned of repercussion if the police fail to arrest the culprits in one day. According to them, they will no longer allow non-local taxi drivers to operate at Khyndailad, aside from resorting to other measures if authorities fail to act on their demands.
