SHILLONG:
The Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) has decided that only one Taekwondo Association will be recognised in a state in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India.
According to TFI, the decision has been taken to streamline the administration of Taekwondo in India, and to ensure that only qualified and experienced coaches and instructors are involved in the training of athletes.
Welcoming the decision,Ā L Sukoon Sing, Vice President of TFI said that many Taekwondo Associations are organising championships without any rules or guidelines which is invalid.
