TMC doesn’t need to prove its anti-BJP credentials: Mahua Moitra hits back at Rahul Gandhi

Addressing media persons at the TMC office in Lachumiere, Shillong today, Moitra rebuked Gandhi and said, “The days of only national parties are over in India; if we had to rely on a bi-party system, there would be no hope left for democracy.”

SHILLONG:

Lok Sabha MP of the TMC Mahua Moitra, on February 24, responded to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement that TMC’s agenda is to strengthen the BJP and maintained that Trinamool Congress does not need to prove its anti-BJP credentials to anyone.

Addressing media persons at the TMC office in Lachumiere, Shillong today, Moitra rebuked Gandhi and said, “The days of only national parties are over in India; if we had to rely on a bi-party system, there would be no hope left for democracy.”

“TMC fought for 34 years against the Left in West Bengal and came to power. We are in our third term and we don’t need to prove our anti-BJP credentials anywhere. If there is a force that is standing against the BJP, it is the TMC,” she added.
