KHLIEHRIAT
The National Highway NH-06 in East Jaintia Hills was disrupted for hours due to a landslide at Sunapur tunnel after heavy downpour on May 27 morning.
The tunnel was cleared around noon and one-way traffic has been allowed.
The road is crucial as it links Barak valley, Mizoram and Tripura with Meghalaya and Assam.
It may be mentioned that this is not the first time that traffic was disrupted due to landslides triggered by heavy rains.
