SHILLONG:
BJP state president and candidate of West Shillong Ernest Mawrie cast his vote at a polling station in Mawprem on February 27 afternoon.
Speaking to The Meghalayan, Mawrie emphasised the importance of the BJP in forming a government in Meghalaya. He acknowledged that a coalition government is likely, and expressed confidence that the BJP would ally with like-minded parties.
Mawrie cited the success of the BJP government in Assam, where significant progress has been made on issues such as unemployment, and where the business community is thriving. He suggested that similar development could occur in Meghalaya under a BJP-led government.
