TURA:

Chief Minister and NPP national president Conrad K Sangma kick-started his election campaign from his home constituency of South Tura on January 30.

Hundreds of supporters thronged the New Tura field to take part in the event.

Addressing the gathering, Sangma said, South Tura is voting not just for Conrad Sangma as an MLA but also voting for a chief minister.

“The decision of South Tura voters will have a ripple effect across Garo Hills and Meghalaya,” said the CM.

During the meeting, the CM also informed that he will file his nomination to contest the upcoming Feb 27 polls from South Tura on February 4.

The chief minister was also seen dancing, along with his supporters, to the NPP theme song after the meeting.
