SHILLONG:

Taking cognizance of the repeated instances of motor accidents happening in the city, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong has said that the Director General Police (DGP) and the District Administration have been instructed to take serious action against reckless driving and book those involved in the act.

This comes a day after a woman died in a road accident at Mawlai Mawdatbaki, and other instances witnessed in the past, which has led to casualties.

Tynsong also said that the district administration has also been asked to penalise those with retrofitted exhaust pipes in their vehicles and two wheelers.
