Entrepreneurs from various parts of Meghalaya have come in to participate in the Chief Minister Start-up and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Conclave that is a three-day event. The Chief Minister who was the Chief Guest for Day 1 emphasised on the importance of entrepreneurship and how it will help in employment generation and the overall economic development of the state.

The owner of Mel Food Processing, could not help but mention how Prime has played  a huge role in helping them to approach their business.

“We have been making wine for about eight years now, but we were never commercially this strong. We are graduating today and the last year has been lessons about marketing, branding and the right approach to sell your products commercially,” he said.

Ayushi Beriwal, also a part of Cohort 2.0 is incredibly thankful to Prime for the right exposure that helped her grow in her entrepreneurial career. Beriwal is the founder of NE Greene Origins and has been working closely with the farmers of the state, while slowly connecting with farmers in the entire north east.

She said, “I always looked up to my father for inspiration, I was an engineer before I began my journey as a full-time businesswoman. I started by selling Lakadong Turmeric and cashews that were sourced from Lakadong village and Garo Hills.”

“But my vision and ideas completely changed after PRIME, my packaging, branding. I was taught how to maintain balance sheets. It was through Prime that I got the opportunity to go to Bangkok and Paris and it was a wonderful exposure opportunity for my business.”
