Faith Foundation Shillong will observe Child Safety Week with the theme, ‘It’s Okay To Say No’.
Child Safety Week is a national campaign which is observed from November 14 to November 20 to highlight the importance of child safety through conversations and events.
This year the objective of Child Safety Week is to help adults understand that ‘It’s Okay To Say No’ and to challenge the cultural norm of saying ‘Yes’, thus ensuring the safety of children.
The highlights of the campaign will include programmes to increase sensitisation on child sexual abuse (CSA) and the importance of child protection and safety. The venues are:
Street Play at Iew Nongmensong and Don Bosco Square, Laitumkhrah on November 16 and 17 at 1 pm, bicycle rally on November 18 at 8.30 am and mural painting at Jaiaw on November 20 at 9 am.
