TURA:
Supporters of the Garoland State Movement Committee (GSMC) and the ACHIK organization staged a protest in Tura during a bike rally on Thursday afternoon to denounce the arrival of Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh.
‘Go Back! Go Back! Give us Winter Capital!”- such were the slogans.
Lyngdoh is on a tour of Garo Hills to meet with department heads and officials. She arrived in Resubelpara, North Garo Hills on Thursday and is due to arrive in Tura the same evening. She will hold a review meeting with government officials at Tura Circuit House on Friday morning before her departure for South Garo Hills headquarters of Baghmara.
