SHILLONG:
NPP candidate from West Shillong Mohendro Rapsang cast his vote on February 27.
Speaking to media persons after casting his vote, Rapsang is confident of retaining the seat and claimed that the wave is in his favour.
Reacting to queries on security, Rapsang said for the past week, West Shillong was peaceful and there was no major incident reported in the constituency; and thanked the district administration for ensuring tight security arrangements.
“I am very positive because I have worked hard in these last five years and I know the people are with me. I have done my part,” he said.
Replying to queries on money power, Rapsang said, “Despite the use of money by a few individuals, things will not change because that money will not convert into votes.”
