LGBI airport commissions EV fast charging station

From now, person persons possessing electric vehicles can utilise the facility by giving the required charge of the vehicle.

GUWAHATI:

As a part of the green airport initiative programme and towards net zero emission and ACI4+ accreditation, Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport, on January 6, installed an Electronic Vehicle (EV) fast charging station at the VIP parking area of the airport premises.

The facility is supported by Adani Total Gas Limited.

From now, person persons possessing electric vehicles can utilise the facility by giving the required charge of the vehicle.

Recently, LGBI airport introduced 6 EV Vehicles to make a cleaner and greener environment committed to ensuring Green Airport.

“LGBI airport committed to achieving the target of carbon neutral by 2024,” said an official of LGBIA.

The Electric Vehicle (EV) boom has been a notable topic in India, as consumers are now inclined towards making more conscious travel choices.

Aiming to significantly contribute to the nation’s green infrastructure while comprehending passenger’s preferences,

“The LGBIA takes pride in its vision and mission to create an ecosystem that is centred to fast-track its journey towards carbon neutrality,” he added.
