GUWAHATI:
It took East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team of Satgaon Police Station sharp 30 minutes to solve a murder case at Ambari Sundar Path, Dalbari, on February 23. The EGPD team arrested one Habibur Rahman (35) for the gruesome murder of one Rouchan Ali (60).
According to the police, the incident happened at Sundar Path at around 1:45 pm, when the accused hacked the victim with a machete to death. Police informed that after committing the crime, Rahman fled from the scene, however, he was apprehended by the police within half an hour from Dalbari.
Legal action has been initiated against Rahman under relevant sections of IPC, police said.
